About Ric

Ric brings a rich set of skills and experience to his work in health and wellness. After completing a BA in Journalism from New York University, he enjoyed a successful career in digital advertising before being pulled toward the work of healing. Ric completed a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. He has post-masters clinical certifications in Sex Therapy, Gender and Sexuality, and trauma-informed care. In addition to his private practice, Ric is a core faculty member of Sex Therapy Program (STP) at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. He was also a staff therapist with the Psychotherapy Center for Gender & Sexuality (PCGS), where he also served on the Executive Committee. Ric was a founding member of ICP’s Ethics & Review Committee, as well as the Anti-Racism Collaborative. Ric is also trained as an EMDR therapist.

Ric’s meditation practice led him to the life-changing power of yoga. Ric is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher. He has immersed himself in multiple trainings to further expand his knowledge and skills at places such as Atmananda Yoga and ISHTA Yoga, among others. Ric went on to complete over 1,000 hours of additional studies specializing in Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, as well as mindfulness meditation.  Ric teaches at the Center for Global Spiritual Life at MindfulNYU, and other locations weekly.

Ric has also completed over seven levels of training in Thai Yoga bodywork at the Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage School in Montreal. Through this ancient healing system of dynamic stretching and energy work, Ric has helped his clients develop greater body awareness while providing a deeply relaxing and meditative full-body experience.

“My goal is to take all of my experience, all of the work across these different realms of mind and body, and offer a comprehensive, holistic approach to healing and wellness.”
